Thánh Lạc Và Phi Thánh Lạc Khác Nhau Như Thế Nào?
“Này Udayi, có năm dục trưởng dưỡng này. Thế nào là năm? Sắc do mắt nhận thức, khả ái, khả hỷ, khả lạc, khả ý, kích thích lòng dục, hấp dẫn. Tiếng do tai nhận thức,… hương do mũi nhận thức,… vị do lưỡi nhận thức,… xúc do thân cảm xúc, khả ái, khả hỷ, khả lạc, khả ý, kích thích lòng dục, hấp dẫn. Những pháp này, này Udayi, là năm dục trưởng dưỡng.
Udayi, the bhikkhu, secluded from sensual desires and thoughts of demerit, with thoughts and thought processes, and with joy and pleasantness born from seclusion, abides in the first jhana. Overcoming thoughts and thought processes, and the mind appeased and in one point, without thoughts and thought processes and with joy and pleasant born from concentration abides in the second jhana—third jhana,– abides in the fourth jhana. This is the pleasantness of giving up, the pleasantness of seclusion, pleasantness of appeasement, the pleasantness of enlightenment, which should be practised, developed, made much and I say this pleasantness should not be feared.” (M66)
