Burmese Manuscripts In The Library Congress, Washington, D.C
In The Annual Report of the Librarian of Congress for 1905, it is reported that the Library of Congress, Washington D.C., had acquired a set of Burmese manuscripts containing the basic Buddhist canon. The manuscripts which are spoken of as the “Rockhill gifts”, were bought by Rev. W.H.S Hascall, who was a missionary in Lower Burma.
