13. 3. 1.

(23) Asamāhita –– Not Concentrated

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those without faith, agree with others without faith. Those without shame, agree with others without shame. Those without remorse agree with others without remorse. The not concentrated agree with the not concentrated. And those lacking in wisdom agree with others not wise.

4. “Those with faith, agree with others with faith. Those with shame, agree with others with shame. Those with remorse agree with others with remorse. The concentrated agree with the concentrated. And the wise agree with the wise.”

(24) Dussīla –– Not Virtuous

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those without faith, agree with others without faith. Those without shame, agree with others without shame. Those without remorse agree with others without remorse. The not virtuous agree with the not virtuous. And those lacking in wisdom agree with others not wise.

4. “Those with faith, agree with others with faith. Those with shame, agree with others with shame. Those with remorse agree with others with remorse. The virtuous agree with the virtuous. And the wise agree with the wise.”

(25) Pañcasikkhāpadāni –– Five Precepts

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those destroying living things agree with the destroyers of living things. Those taking the not given agree with those who take the not given. Those misbehaving sexually agree with others who misbehave sexually. Those telling lies agree with others who tell lies. Those taking intoxicating things agree with others who take intoxicating things.

4. “Those abstaining from destroying living things agree with those who do not destroy living things. Those abstaining from taking the not given agree with those who do not take the not given. Those abstaining from misbehaving sexually agree with others who do not misbehave sexually. Those abstaining from telling lies agree with others who do not tell lies. Those abstaining from taking intoxicating things agree with others who do not take intoxicating things.

(26) Sattakammapatha –– The Seven Ways of Acting

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those destroying living things agree with the destroyers of living things. Those taking the not given agree with those who take the not given. Those misbehaving sexually agree with others who misbehave sexually. Those telling lies agree with others who tell lies. Those slandering agree with others who slander. Those talking roughly agree with others talking roughly and those talking frivolously agree with others who talk frivolously.

4. “Those abstaining from destroying living things agree with those who do not destroy living things. Those abstaining from taking the not given agree with those who do not take the not given. Those abstaining from misbehaving sexually agree with others who do not misbehave sexually. Those abstaining from telling lies agree with others who do not tell lies. Those abstaining from taking intoxicating things agree with others who do not take intoxicating things.”

(27) Dasakammapatha –– Ten Ways of Acting

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those destroying living things agree with the destroyers of living things. Those taking the not given agree with those who take the not given. Those misbehaving sexually agree with others who misbehave sexually. Those telling lies agree with others who tell lies. Those slandering agree with others who slander. Those talking roughly agree with others talking roughly. Those talking frivolously agree with others who talk frivolously. Those coveting agree with others, who covet. Those angry agree with others who bear anger and those who have wrong view agree with others who have wrong view.

4. “Those abstaining from destroying living things agree with those who do not destroy living things. Those abstaining from taking the not given agree with those who do not take the not given. Those abstaining from misbehaving sexually agree with others who do not misbehave sexually. Those abstaining from telling lies agree with others who do not tell lies. Those abstaining from slandering agree with others who do not slander. Those abstaining from talking roughly agree with those who do not talk roughly. Those abstaining from frivolous talk agree with those who do not talk frivolously. Those who do not covet, agree with others who do not covet. Those who do not bear anger agree with others who do not bear anger and those with right view agree with others who have right view.

(28) Aṭṭhangiko –– Eight Factors

1. At one time the Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta’s grove in Sāvatthī.

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those with wrong view get together and agree with others who have wrong view. Those with wrong thoughts get together and agree with others who think wrongly. Those with wrong words get together and agree with others who have wrong words. Those with wrong action get together and agree with others who have wrong actions. Those with wrong livelihood get together and agree with others who have wrong livelihood. Those with wrong endeavor get together and agree with others who have wrong endeavor. Those with wrong mindfulness get together and agree with others who have wrong mindfulness. Those with wrong concentration get together and agree with others who have wrong concentration.

4. “Those with right view get together and agree with others who have right view. Those with right thoughts, get together and agree with others who have right thoughts. Those with right words get together and agree with others who have right words. Those with right action get together and agree with others who have right actions. Those with right livelihood get together and agree with others who have right livelihood. Those with right endeavor get together and agree with others who have right endeavor. Those with right mindfulness get together and agree with others who have right mindfulness. Those with right concentration get together and agree with others who have right concentration.

(29) Dasanga — Ten Factors

2. “Bhikkhus, beings get together and agree according to the elements.

3. “Those with wrong view get together and agree with others who have wrong view. Those with wrong thoughts get together and agree with others who think wrongly. Those with wrong words get together and agree with others who have wrong words. Those with wrong action get together and agree with others who have wrong actions. Those with wrong livelihood get together and agree with others who have wrong livelihood. Those with wrong endeavor get together and agree with others who have wrong endeavor. Those with wrong mindfulness get together and agree with others who have wrong mindfulness. Those with wrong concentration get together and agree with others who have wrong concentration. Those with wrong knowledge get together and agree with others who have wrong knowledge. Those with wrong release get together and agree with others who have wrong release.

4. “Those with right view get together and agree with others who have right view. Those with right thoughts, get together and agree with others who have right thoughts. Those with right words get together and agree with others who have right words. Those with right action get together and agree with others who have right actions. Those with right livelihood get together and agree with others who have right livelihood. Those with right endeavor get together and agree with others who have right endeavor. Those with right mindfulness get together and agree with others who have right mindfulness. Those with right concentration get together and agree with others who have right concentration. Those with right knowledge get together and agree with others who have right knowledge Those with right release get together and agree with others who have right release.”
