Preface
This work entitled “Fundamental Abhidhamma” makes the Abhidhamma easy to be comprehended. It follows the style of the Abhidhammatthasangaha (Compendium of Abhidhamma), a work of Venerable Acariya Anuruddha, who is believed to have lived around the eight century A.D.
“Fundamental Abhidhamma” is not a translation of the Abhidhammatthasangaha. It ties to brief only important points of the Abhidhamma. Like “Abhidhammatthasangaha”, this work comprises nine chapters. Some changes, however, have been made according to the order of the chapters.
